  Ligia Pilar Samaniego Santillán, Ecuador

Ligia Pilar Samaniego Santillán is the General Secretary of the Ibero-American Network of Non Governmental Organizations of People with Disabilities and their Families. A native of Ecuador, she is the executive secretary of the Network Pro Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms of People with Mental Disabilities of Ecuador. Ligia is also the president of the AVILUZ Foundation for people with borderline, mild, and moderated mental disabilities.

She has represented Ecuador in several international conventions and congresses. She is a recognized author of Mathematics Didactics and Disability books. She is a trainer of trainers and currently works as a curricular administrator at Liceo Bilingüe Hontanar.
